My name is Kalekidan Necho. I am living with my mother and three sbilings. My mother is a widow. My father passed away when I was in the second grade. After I grew up, I am forced to support her and my sisters. I had to look for a job. I am now working in the Alert Hospital Card room and I started my extension degree program in Accounting at Queens College. But we are facing so many challenges to live day by day. We can't eat food sometimes.
When I failed my 1oth grade exam and my mother was unable to work due to pregnancy, the entire responsibility of managing the family fell on me. For a year, we started living with my mother farming and doing daily jobs, but the daily jobs were hurting me, and I wanted to learn, so I decided that I should find another job. Because I can't cover my family's expenses with my salary I had to find another opportunity to help my family. I need support for buying food for my family, and also help me pay my school fees and related costs.
